Congrats on the new to you R.

I looked at that one a few weeks ago and pointed out to the salesman the additional damage to the intercooler vanes.

The salesman mentioned that a "Volvo enthusiast" had pointed out the damage to him. He dropped the price quite a bit - so thanks! Pretty happy with the car apart from that lip. I guess now I have to figure out what the fix is for the intercooler vanes.

Post up some pix of her !

As soon as it gets warm enough to spend the time outside taking pics. And maybe after I've fixed the lip.

I used plastic plugs from a local auto parts store. They have tons of options, just use a type that is sturdy and had a bigger, flat head. Be really careful not to drill into the radiator or anything else important when doing the work! You'll need to put it up on a lift or jack stands to get a drill in there.

This type of thing: http://www.autobodys...-drill-bits.jpg

Thanks! It helps tremendously to have the visual.

That's good - glad I could be of help! I would probably just clean up the vanes and repaint unless you are planning on replacing the intercooler anyway, which is a popular mod. There are various fixes out there for the droopy lip or just replace the bumper cover for $800-900.

He did say that two different parties from Cincy were looking at it, I take you are one of them!

Nice that it came with a spare set of wheels as well. I also pointed out to the salesman the rear booster seats.

You just don't see many VR's for sale in the CLE area - there was another one two weeks ago, a "miler" with 146k on the clock that was sold to someone from NY.

Good luck!
