Well my fellow VR drivers, I'm moving on to the CTS-V either the sedan or wagon once they tell me when it's coming out which might be in the next 6 weeks. I drove the coupe version yesterday and what a kick in the pants that was. Will keep this topic updated.

Thanks
Graham

Given the lack of a new V70R, the CTS-V would be my pick too. Just be sure to not check the box for the automatic.

No doubt... 6M for the win!

Hopefully your Cadillac experience is a much better one than ours over here across the river from you! My wife bought a 2007 SRX4 with the sport package last year and the pos has been back to the dealership around 15 times with all kinds of goofy crap going wrong on it. We even had the distinct pleasure of having a new motor installed this summer...as well as 3 ac compressors. The dealership has washed their hands of it and Cadillac Canada will not help us out at all. The ac compressor problems happened only after the new motor was installed...the system keeps running out of freon and burns up the clutch...neither the dealership or Cadillac will accept any blame in the matter and have basically told us to piss off.

We absolutely detest North American vehicles, but living in Windsor and doing the job my wife does...she interacts with a lot of union people over here so she bit the bullet and bought "American"...now we are paying dearly for it! Never again will we make this mistake. It is on it's third compressor in 2 months and is hopefully fixed now...it is for sale and will be replaced by either a newer V70R/S60R or possibly an 06 Nissan Altima SE-R...she wants a manual again.

Stick with the European cars Graham...just my $0.02

General Motors and their "new image" can stick it where the sun doesn't shine!

Does Canada have a Lemon Law like the US? How about a consumer advocate agency like the Better Business Bureau? I think both of those might be able to help. At the very least find yourself some kind of investigative reporter at your local TV station...

Unfortunately no Lemon Law here...remember...Canada is pretty much a communist state!

We have investigated numerous options regarding this pile of crap...hopefully there is light at the end of the tunnel....in the form of a 110 car freight train! lol

I know I did then one night at dinner the debate came up, and the coupe crept back into the mix, and it is different so it won out.
It is a kick in the pants to drive I must say.
