For some reason, VVVroom couldn't attach or link to the photo directly in this topic. We deleted his post at his request since it had no image.. .

You can however view the photo in his garage listing.

Well, both complete concealment and comprehensive detection/jamming are important to me.
I am at the upper limit of what the state allows for moving violations before they yank your license for 6 mo. (note: only one ticket was for intentionally traveling more that 70mph - others were inadvertant :excesses in lower speed zones and expired inspection sticker and the like).

Concealment is from my better half. Posted Image As an occaisional drive on this business vehicle, she can not be aware of the installation - So far so good! I'll post pics in the garage in a couple of days.

Regarding price, Laser Shifter ZR3, providing front and rear LIDAR shifting (not just detection, which is NOT protection), lists for $500USD. This can be an add-on to the Passport 8500 Radar Detector + Laser Detector ($300USD), Cordless Solo S2 ($330USD), the Passport 7500S ($230USD). None of these require custom installation. Custom-installed Passport SR7 ($1100USD) can also be coupled with the ZR3, or one can, as I did, get the SRX, which combines the two in one package for $1600USD (with hidden display and voice).
I skipped the voice and settled at $1300USD. Not the right choice if you don't mind the detector lying around the car and the associated wires to the 12v outlet, etc.

For me, it was the only choice, and perfectly compatible with this "sleeper" vehicle.

BTW I have enjoyed my Bel ( now owned by escort) for the past 9 years. Saved my but more than I can count. Not perfect but effective. Except in Montana . They have a fast lock finger there
