I was wanting to do some really nice pictues of the car recently, but knew I had a ton of work ahead of me to get the swirls out of the paint, and to try and get the rockers in decent shape since they look like they had been sand blasted with road debris.

It also had slight scratches that I figued I'd have to buff out...

A buddy put me in touch with a local company called Clear Solutions who market X-Kote Paint renewal system... The pictures speak for themselves..

When I walked into the shop tonight - it looked like the car was freshly painted and polished - I was astounded how good it looks. It still has the major rock chips - but they even filled those in with the supplied colour match paint I ordered for it. I just got it back tonight - so I hope to get some nice pics of the car tomorrow to show it off in all it's glory.

I seriously recommend X-Kote to anyone with a dark coloured car especially - it was worth every penny of the almost $300.

Looks like it's just starting up - didn't realise it was based in Canada...

So the best bet would be to contact them direct for the nearest company. Seems like a damn good franchise opportiunity...

That looks very good. I've been looking for a good excuse for a drive.
Maybe I need to plan a litle road trip to Vancouver...

I think dark colours will have the biggest most dramatic change - but it's absolutely amazing how good the paint is now. I've never owned a car with such nice paint!

Prior to getting it X-Koted - I was just going to buff the heck out of it and hope for the best - but this stuff is way beyond a buff and polish. Now the car looks like it's been repainted by the factory - or a VERY high end shop... you don't notice any of the deep flaws till your less than 5 feet away - and you have to look for them.

So bean,
Did you have this done at their factory? I've detailed auto's for many years and have done all types of paint restoration but this stuff looks amazing! Intersted in shipping some to the US?

I had it done at Clear Solutions - he's a young guy that has the rights to distribute to SK, but I'm not sure if it's a kit you can get, or if it has to be done by a trained retailer...

I'll check and post any info I can... I did ask though - and Jeramiah said it'd probably be best to contact X-Kote direct - maybe there's already a dealer nearby...

I will give X-Kote a call later and see if they do retail at the Coquitlam office but I have some heavy workload recently...
