  1. ok guys. i have a 2000 s40. the b4204T2. its been tuned by upsolute. its running about 10psi now with the tune and about 205 hp. needless to say i want a little more pop. what kind of boost can this motor and trans handle? not to mention the stock fuel system? anyone on here thrown in an MBC into this motor?
  2. thats a good answer. i read that the lightened crank pulley does have that slight lower range torque and throttle response. especially with the auto transmissions like mine, i also heard that on the auto transmissions that the other side of the crank has so much mass on the other side that the loss of dampening isnt really an issue at all.
  3. i want to bypass my boost control valve on my 2000 s40 with a manual boost controller. is 10 psi safe for stock fuel system and motor? i know the TCV acts as a sort of blow off valve because i can hear the boost release when i let off the throttle. with installing an MBC do i have to also install a blow off valve? also any thoughts on a light crank pulley. i have an automatic trans so other side of crank has some weight to it.

  5. i also have the ard lightweight flywheel but havent installed it cause after i bought it people said it could damage the motor
  6. have you heard of the upsolute tune. on my car they would have to solder in a new chip. i heard that can be risky? but it has shown to have good results and drivability
  7. upsolute does a tune where they run 12 psi but they adjust boost and fuel to compensate. the guy at upsolue said the chip tune has never caused anyone any problems. what do people normally do to boost power safely. i have an intake and a small exhaust upgrade.
  8. hey guys . i have a 2000 s40. wanted to put an MBC in to get a couple more lbs of boost. what boost can i run on a stock tune and injector setup safely?what hoses off the turbo control valve do i bypass. anyone done this before?what brand of controller do you guys like?thanks in advance!!!
  9. so my 2000 s40 is not boosting like it should. i installed a boost gauge today finally. i tapped it into the far back vacuum line on the manifold above the throttle body. it shows at full throttle in sport mode im only boosting maybe 5 of 6 psi max. its the same amount of boost i was getting off the obd2 reader before i installed the boost gauge so i know i didnt cause a vacuum leak. i also know i dont have any detectible vacuum leaks that i could find. could it be wastegate? thanks guys!!!!!
  10. i have a 2000 s40. every few days it throws a TPS code and a MAP sensor code. however ive replaced the tps sensor and on my OBD2 scan gauge it shows that the MAP is sitting in normal pressure zones. could it be a bad MAF sensor? throwing off both the throttle and MAP codes? i cant figure it out! any advice would be great

  12. can you run the 14t and still see benefits without running larger injectors or a boost controller? just dropping it in?
  13. ok noodle, where would you then recommend investing a little money into the car to give it a little more lower end power? exhaust? its got that cat direct off of turbo. im in texas so i cant really do anything with that. but i could free up the rest of the system. i could also drop in a 14t turbo i guess as well. 0
